What is the BridalPeople Community all about?
BridalPeople.com is a wedding shopping community. What is that you ask? We help brides2be use their collective wedding shopping experiences to help each other, both directly and indirectly, with advice, shopping suggestions, ratings, and reviews from other members. BridalPeople contributes by providing a central location to assist the bride in collecting and organizing their wedding shopping lists known as BPLists.
What is BPLists?
With BPLists you can keep track of the things you want/need for your wedding regardless of the number of shops or services you find. You can add anything from any online business, access it and make changes any time you want.
BPLists offers up to 20 different lists, start with the 10 suggested and add up to 10 more. Add your online shopping items to your list and group them by need level (Maybe,Want It, Need It,Got It).
For example: You can add a Butterfly Place card Holders to your Reception Items List and put it under the “Maybe” need level.
Then as you find more items (or not) you can move the Butterfly Place card Holders up until you have decided you want to purchase them or not. Delete or modify at any time.
How is BridalPeople "Social"?
People who register for free with BridalPeople are considered "Members". Members have many opportunities to be "social" here at BridalPeople...even visitors for that matter. Visitors and members can use our Real time message and feedback tools regarding wedding websites, indivdual products or Wedding Shopping Categories. Members can create BPLists to store and organize all their online wedding shopping items. Some of those lists are available to the public to view. Members can message each other. Follow other member's lists. Set up a "Call for Help" feature for their profile or add input to another member's CFH (actually visitors can help out too). Members can set up their profile's and let people know about their wedding plans and even invite other members to help them add to their BPLists. BridalPeople is NOT your typical wedding site full of one site's items and categories.
Do we need to purchase from BridalPeople.com?
Absolutely not! In fact you can not purchase from BridalPeople. We do not offer any items for sale directly. All of the items on BridalPeople.com are from other wedding websites on the Internet. You can add to your BPList from ANY site by using our toolbar button or copying the URL and pasting it in to our “Add Item” page. When you add an item it will be copied to our Wedding Categories page for other brides2be to find in our “Wedding Categories” area. Disclaimer: We have agreements with some of the wedding websites where we make a small commission from sales. Please do not allow this to affect your purchasing plans. Either for or against those sites. BridalPeople is here for you, our loyal visitors, for over 10 years. And we know you are the most important part of our business.
What are “Wedding Shopping" Categories?
Our Wedding Shopping categories are our way of trying to group items together in a coherent fashion. These items are copies of items the Members have added to their BPLists or added via a Registered Wedding Vendor. These items are in no way “Suggested”, “Guaranteed”, “Recommended”, or anything else for that matter from BridalPeople. On the other hand they may be Recommended by our members who have rated them or the websites where the item comes from. Or they may be rated poorly. That is the beauty of the BridalPeople community: all of the input comes from the brides2be and you.
Should we purchase from certain vendors if we want to support BridalPeople directly?
- Please do not base your wedding purchases in any way to support, or not, BridalPeople.
- Please do tell your friends about our service.
- Please do use our tools.
- Please do interact and give an opinion or two within the community.
- Please do add only the best stuff to our community.

How does BridalPeople get item information from other websites?
When you use our button bar tool or add an items URL to our “Add Item” page. BridalPeople’s servers will “scrape” (pull the information from) that website’s page and grab just the good parts and add it to your BPList. This process is not a guarantee. Sometimes websites do not cooperate and BridalPeople’s servers get a big fat nothing. But so far about 95% of the time it works. There is a manual way to add information if you’d like. Type in the title and description. Even upload a photo or add a photo url manually.
Who do I contact for Customer Service or Shipping questions?
You will want to contact those websites directly. Again BridalPeople does NOT inventory or ship any products directly. We will try and provide phone numbers and email address for wedding websites as we go. But as of last count there are approximately about 400+ wedding websites out there. It may take awhile. (By the way...that’s a lot of stuff to go see....why waste your time shopping all those sites when BridalPeople has all their best stuff here?..sorry promo opportunity)
What are “Calls for Help”?
A CFH is a unique idea we came up with for brides2be to get input from other b2b. A member can create a “Call for Help” for example...”Which flowers go best with my wedding cake?” then put photos of your flowers and wedding cake in one of your BPLists. Then when a member or visitors comes to your profile page (your CFH will also be listed on our homepage) they can give feed back in a temporary comment tool. A CFH will last 10 days...or you can end it early.
